Created in 2011, C Food Shack is relatively new to the culinary world, but it has been steeped in culinary tradition long before its conception. C Food Shack is the brainchild of the curious, culinary mastermind, Laron Culmer. With one big idea and just a little space, Culmer began to craft a better way to eat take-out. He believes that the epicurean should not compromise with food, and that even take-out should be an orgasmic dining experience. Culmer has magnified the Floribbean style of cooking that now garners the brand as a hot spot on South Beach.

C Food Shack’s culinary culture is built upon the unique and distinctive flavors of the Caribbean. Keeping this heritage at our core, we will continue to pay homage and gather inspiration to create new, original menu items for you to savor. C Food Shack differentiates its brand with a unique Floribbean flare featuring citrus marinated fish, tender conch, fried lobster, jerk sauce and other regional ingredients.  These unique flavors and foods has rewarded C Food Shack with notoriety as a ‘Great Place for Great Food’ with plans to further the growth of the brand regionally and nationally.


For us, the term Floribbean is an ode to the influence and relationship that Florida has had with the Caribbean and its people for decades. Florida is a fusion of people from many different cultures, which has created a rare society. The outcome of this mixture has given life to a food culture that is like no other.

With that in mind, we want to continue to honor this unique culture. By challenging ourselves to continuously innovative and define the style, we believe that we can make a significant contribution to the growth of the Floribbean cuisine.
